On Wednesday 19th February our WM accompanied by his IPM visited Round Table Lodge of Derbyshire 8725 in Dore, to witness the initiation of Bro Haslem into the craft.
A great ceremony with some wonderful differences in the ceremony influenced by Yorkshire West Ridings workings.
A great festive board followed where our WM gave an excellent visitors response to the brethren.
Well worth a visit by any brethren.
Two weeks ago saw the Installation at Hartington Lodge No 1085.
Brother Stuart Brett was Installed into the Chair, for the ensuing twelve months. The Installing Master Worshipful Brother Craig Whittle did an excellent job at the ceremony and a thoroughly enjoyable night was had by all in attendance.
The Right Worshipful Provincial Grand Master was represented on this occasion by Worshipful Brother Stuart Riley the Provincial Senior Warden.
A great night for Derbyshire Freemasonry, but Hartington Lodge No 1085 in particular.
Back on the 31st January Bretby Lodge was graced with a number of Hartington Lodge members, where we witnessed a double Initiation.
There was also a good turn-out from the Porchway Club, Derbyshires NYMC.
It was a special night for the Lodge, but more importantly for Adam Hough their Assistant Director of Ceremonies, who got to see his old College friend Initiated.
If only the Travelling Gavel was present then we may have been in with a chance of claiming it!
